Pixie Power

"Where Is My Mind?", the anthem of the movie adaptation of Fight Club, is undoubtedly one of the best songs ever from the Pixies (and that's even before Edward Norton watches buildings explode).

No surprise then, that Ok Go's No Sign of Life and End of Fashion Oh Yeah sounds almost like the real mccoy. Would love to hear a medley remix. Anyone know any

Ok Go - What To Do Acoustic (Live)

Damien suddenly jumped off the stage with an acoustic guitar and a contraption which I can only describe as a "mike-tree". With Andy on a second acoustic and Tim on a xylophone, they played right in the middle of the crowd, who politely formed a circle and sat down :) Some even got to hold flashlights to light them

Gomez

Brit rock band with the most infectious melodies. Powerstation @ Auckland 20th April 2007. Sorry-la, wasn't allowed to take pictures so this is quite something already.

The worst part was since we got there too early before the doors opened, we popped into a small Indian restaurant nearby. Over drinks, a group of four guys walked in. They weren't immediately recognisable but Mel refused to go with my hunch and take pics of/with them. Fast forward a couple hours later, two of them walked on-stage and kicked-off a great show with the rest of the band. Another was a guitar tech.

Lantern Festival 2007

A recent weekend at Albert Park saw thousands of people gather for the end of Chinese New Year. I was lucky enough to meet the performers from China, who were staying at my hotel. Even got to go out to a couple of schools with them the next Monday.

Being here for so long, I really miss being Chinese
